The AHS Fire Science class aquires a used firetruck

Mr. Tuthill, the passionate instructor of the Fire Science class at Anamosa High School, has taken a major step forward by acquiring a used firetruck for the program. This hands-on addition allows students to gain practical, real-world experience operating essential firefighting equipment and understanding how firetrucks are deployed in emergency situations to save lives and protect communities. By bringing this authentic tool directly into the classroom, Mr. Tuthill is bridging the gap between theory and practice, giving Blue Raider students invaluable skills that will serve them well in future careers as first responders.

The arrival of the firetruck represents a significant milestone in career and technical education at Anamosa High School. It underscores the program's commitment to experiential learning and highlights the growing opportunities for students interested in public safety and emergency services. This exciting resource not only enhances classroom instruction but also inspires the next generation of firefighters right here in our community, proving once again that AHS is dedicated to preparing students for meaningful, impactful futures. Great work, Mr. Tuthill and the Fire Science team!
